Greetings!

This will be my last communication of the year.

The 8th graders will be helping Mr. Z with the K-5 field day on Monday.  It will be from around 8:00-10:30.  Mrs. Heideman is coordinating water for each of them.  Thank you to Deb. The students are excited to be able to help with this fun event.  It also gives me some time to organize for the last few days of school.

Tuesday we have regular schedule.  Monday and Tuesday I will be collecting their literature and grammar books.  The students should have already gone through their textbooks making sure they are in good condition.  Other classes will be doing this as well.

Wednesday is a day for just the 8th graders to be together.  In the morning they will have some sort of small breakfast in their homerooms.  Then there will be dance practice (which they always enjoy but do not think they will- Mr. and Mrs. Schmanke are the teachers), graduation practice, a pizza tailgate at lunch (thanks to Deb again as well as other parents) with extra recess, and then the Awards Assembly at 1:30.  You are all welcome to attend the Awards Assembly if you like.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for sharing your child with me this year.  I hope they have gained something from me; I know I have gained from them.  I wish them all the best in high school and good luck to you as well.  The challenges are just beginning; however, it is all good!!!
